Progress Machine Tool Manufacturing Company was founded November 16^th  1903. The main activity was manufacturing of machine tools and productions and special machines for the  Norwegian industry.

In 1962 the company was renamed and became Progress Tannhjul og Maskinfabrikk, and soon became the leading manufacturer of gear wheels in Norway. 

This year we also entered a new era, we were appointed as Twin Disc distributor for the Norwegian Market.

In 1985 the company was split up, the production was taken over by Progress Maskinering, and the distributor activity by Progress Ingeniorfirma AS.

From the early start with Twin Disc Marine Transmissions in 1962 we are to day one of the leading suppliers of components to the marine industry in Norway. 

To day we are the distributors for the following products in Norway: Twin Disc marine and industrial products, Michigan propellers, Hamilton Jet, Arneson surface drives, Technodrive marine transmission, Ballistic propellers, Rolla propellers, Aquadrive shafts, Halyard exhaust, Max Power trusters, Flex-O-Fold propellers, Max Prop propellers, Cooper power tools, Sumitomo Cyclo drive and OMM sas shafts.
